Biography
Chuck Shoemaker graduated from the University of Michigan School of Law in 1976 and was formerly a partner in the largest law firm in Omaha. Chuck is now "of Counsel" for the law firm of Sullivan Shoemaker P.C., L.L.O. His practice focuses on estate administration.
Chuck is one of two attorneys in the firm to have an "AV" rating by Martindale Hubbell. In order to receive an "AV" rating, an attorney must be acknowledged by fellow attorneys to be both an outstanding lawyer and have excellent ethics.
Chuck served two terms on the Hastings City Council. He also is past President of the Hastings Community Foundation and on the board of the Kitty M. Perkins Foundation and the Shoemaker Family Foundation, which are private charitable foundations. Chuck is a member of the Hastings Noon Rotary Club. He is serving, or in the past has served, on the Boards of Directors of Humanities Nebraska, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, Hastings Noon Rotary, the Hastings Area United Way, the Nebraska Public Radio Foundation, the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce, the Hastings Family YMCA, the Sertoma 8-man All Star Game and the Hastings Chapter of the American Cancer Society. He is involved in real estate development and is the majority owner Wilson Case, a Hastings manufacturer of hard shell transportation cases which are sold nationwide.
